Pavilion Cowork is seeking an experienced Events Manager to join our team, focusing on revenue generation and brand growth through dynamic event programming. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, this role involves planning and executing a diverse portfolio of events for Pavilion Cowork and Alabaster, while also positioning Pavilion’s boutique venues as premier events locations for external clients. The Events Manager will craft exceptional experiences that enhance member value, drive revenue, and reflect Pavilion’s upscale, community-driven brand.

Position Summary

Pavilion Cowork is seeking an experienced Events Manager to join our team, focusing on revenue generation and brand growth through dynamic event programming. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales & Operations, this role involves planning and executing a diverse portfolio of events for Pavilion Cowork and Alabaster Homes, while also positioning Pavilion’s boutique venues as premier events locations for external clients. The Events Manager will craft exceptional experiences that enhance member value, drive revenue, and reflect Pavilion’s upscale, community-driven brand.

Event Planning & Execution

  1. Outreach & External Partnerships: Promoting and booking Pavilion’s event spaces for external clients. Build and manage relationships with local vendors, corporate clients, and community partners to amplify Pavilion’s visibility and elevate the brand.
  2. Event Design & Branding: Conceptualize, plan, and execute on-brand events that are tailored to Pavilion and Alabaster’s target audience, ensuring seamless coordination from start to finish.
  3. Alabaster Events: Lead in organizing Alabaster events, including project launches, groundbreakings, VIP and investor gatherings, high-end dining experiences, and exclusive whiskey, wine, and cocktail events. Manage 2-3 signature events each year that highlight Alabaster’s development projects and strengthen client relationships.

Event Management

  1. Venue Promotion & Sales Outreach: Drive revenue by actively marketing Pavilion’s event spaces for premium, external bookings. Lead sales outreach initiatives, including developing promotional materials in conjunction with our marketing team, conducting client tours, and managing inquiries from third-party platforms.
  2. Vendor Partnerships: Cultivate partnerships with local vendors for catering, décor, entertainment, and more to create competitive offerings and unique experiences, boosting Pavilion’s appeal to external clients.
  3. Logistics & Coordination: Oversee the full logistics of external events, from initial inquiry to post-event feedback. Handle scheduling, budgeting, vendor management, and client coordination to ensure Pavilion’s standards are upheld in every aspect. Day of event on-site contact for events.

Internal Events & Social Committee (Pavilion Cowork + Alabaster Homes)

  1. Social Committee Lead: Serve as the head of the Alabaster Social Committee, collaborating with team members to organize internal engagement events, including holiday celebrations, Alabaster Day, Chinese New Year, month-end meetings, fundraisers, and vendor-partner activities.
  2. Monthly & Signature Member Events: Design and host monthly happy hours, seasonal celebrations, and brand-themed signature events (e.g., Christmas and summer) that align with Pavilion’s brand and engage our member community.

Brand and Business Development

  1. Leverage Pavilion’s boutique venues to establish Pavilion as a premier destination for high-quality events, generating revenue while enhancing Pavilion’s brand through strategic partnerships and collaborations with local influencers and industry leaders.

In addition to these qualities, you possess:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field.
  2. 3+ years of experience in event management, ideally within coworking, real estate, or hospitality settings.
  3. Proven ability to generate revenue through external event sales and outreach.
  4. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building vendor and client relationships.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms (Pipedrive preferred), and experience with third-party event sites.
  6. Proficient in Google Workspace applications as well as Microsoft and Adobe.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and fluency in English.
  8. Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  9. Adaptable and flexible, able to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a larger team.
  10. Solutions-oriented approach with superior time management, multitasking, and prioritization abilities.
  11. Eligible to work in Canada (Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or valid working visa) required.

Compensation

Your Total Compensation Package includes:

  1. Base Annual Compensation, with a range of $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 depending on experience and qualifications.
  2. Vacation & Time Off Package.

  4. Extended Health & Dental Benefits upon successful completion of a probationary period.
