Community Care Northumberland is seeking a FULL TIME – EVENTS AND RELATIONSHIP COORDINATOR.

Reporting to the Director, Donor Relations and Communications, this is a new role responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating a variety of events for Community Care Northumberland while also building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, sponsors, donors, volunteers, and internal teams.

The ideal candidate will have proven strengths in building rapport with others on a foundation of solid communication skills. The candidate will also be highly organized and work well with various systems and processes. This position requires the ability to work independently and be familiar with detailed planning processes that require attention to detail and meeting deadlines. The candidate needs to be growth-minded, empathetic, and love to connect with people—a collaborator who brings people together. This position requires a communicator who can educate and share our organization’s goals and service messages and enjoys planning and organizing events and building success stories.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Event Planning & Execution:

  1. Develop and implement event plans and strategies that align with organizational goals.
  2. Plan, organize, and execute a variety of events, including Signature Public events, Volunteer and Donor Appreciation events.
  3. Collaborate with 3rd party organizers to engage and assist with their events.
  4. Manage event budgets, timelines, and logistics to hit fundraising targets.
  5. Secure venues, vendors, and speakers as needed.
  6. Coordinate event messaging, marketing, and promotion in collaboration with CCN Communications Specialist.
  7. Oversee event execution, ensure smooth operations and a positive attendee experience.
  8. Evaluate event outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
  9. Lead and support internal events.

Relationship Management:

  1. Build, grow, and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  2. Serve as the primary point of contact for event-related inquiries.
  3. Identify and pursue new growth/partner/revenue opportunities.
  4. Negotiate contracts and agreements as required pertaining to events.
  5. Provide excellent customer service and build rapport with attendees.

Qualifications:

  1. Degree or certifications in Event Management or related field preferred.
  2. Minimum 2 years of experience in event planning and management.
  3. Knowledge of Northumberland Business and Philanthropic community an asset.
  4. Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  5. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  6. Proficiency in event management software and tools.
  7. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
