Job description

The OSEG Foundation is seeking a motivated and passionate summer student to support our upcoming Foundation events. In this role, you will help support the OSEG Foundation’s mandate to leverage the power sport to help children and youth develop critical life skills, improve their mental and physical wellbeing and reach their fullest potential. Please note that this position is funded by the 2025 Canada Summer Jobs Grant.

Contract Term: May 26, 2025 to July 18, 2025.

What you’ll do:

Signature Event Support

  • Contribute to the creation of event concepts, themes, and formats that align with the Foundation’s goals and values;
  • Provide administrative support to the Senior Manager in managing event logistics, vendor coordination, and event timelines;
  • Collaborate with event committees, volunteers, and internal teams to ensure smooth event execution;
  • Help manage event logistics including registration lists, seating charts, sponsorship invoicing and payments, and vendor rentals;
  • Attend and represent the Foundation at select events, assisting with on-site logistics and providing support to event staff;
  • Assist with post-event follow-up, including preparing donor recognition and gathering feedback for event improvement.

Community Event Support

  • Assist with the coordination and execution of community events;
  • Support the development of promotional materials and other swag items as necessary;
  • Support the development and distribution of event materials, including sponsorship collateral, event programs, and social media promotional content;
  • Help manage event website and registration pages.

What’s needed:

  • Motivated, self-starter, team player;
  • Excellent inter-personal skills – skillful at building and fostering relationships;
  • Strong written communication skills;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • High level of proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.;
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and work in a high energy environment;
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
