Story Behind the Need

Business group: Global Event Marketing supports the execution of events and conferences for Client business lines.
Primary responsibility: Deliver finished assets in STOVA, including event apps, registration sites, microsites, surveys, and reporting. Support event operations.
These are highly visible events that involve clients, business partners, and sometimes executives.

Typical Day in Role:

Registration Solutions:

  1. Developing and managing online event registration, event websites, event apps, and surveys.
  2. Quality assuring assets for teammates before deploying.
  3. Building and distributing event communications, including invites, reminders, and confirmations.
  4. Ensuring data integrity within projects and while creating and delivering reports.
  5. Monitoring & managing the Client Events inbox and promptly responding to inquiries.

Event Operations:

  1. Intermittently coordinating the purchase and shipment of event supplies and promotional items.
  2. Drafting and circulating meeting minutes, as required.
  3. Ordering and organizing event collateral, including name badges, table cards, event briefs, etc.
  4. Occasionally assisting with event set up, onsite execution, and tear down.

  3. Direct day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank’s risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits.
  4. Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of their respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk, and conduct risk.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

  1. 1-2 years of experience in supporting events and building registration activities for large organizations.
  2. 1-2 years of experience utilizing registration tools such as Stova, Cvent, or other registration platforms.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

  1. Knowledge in CSS and HTML, preferred.
  2. Communicating in French and/or Spanish is an asset.

  1. Good Relationship Management skills.
  2. Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  3. Ability to learn and adapt to rapidly changing regulatory and business environments.
  4. Able to work independently and with other staff across functional lines within the Bank.
  5. An enquiring mind, excellent judgment, strategic thinking skills, and attention to detail.

Education:

Post-secondary degree or diploma.

Best vs. Average Candidate

The best candidate is someone who has previous registration experience with Stova and demonstrates a positive attitude and a willingness to quickly learn and adapt to new software and technologies.

  1. 2 Rounds:
  2. 1st round – 2 Hiring managers – 30 mins – MS Teams Video – The first 10 mins is for Introduction, role overview, and what they are looking for. The rest of the interview will review candidates' experience and knowledge-based questions.
  3. 2nd round – 2 Hiring Managers, Director, and team lead – 30 mins – MS Teams Video – Ensure the right candidate is selected and fits the team culture.
