Starting Salary : $100,000 / annum
The Opportunity :
The EV Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing the design, construction, and installation of Electric Vehicle (EV) infrastructure projects, including charging stations, electrical systems, and related facilities. This role requires a strong background in construction management, electrical systems, and the EV industry. The successful candidate will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities :
- Project Management : Manage the end-to-end construction process of EV infrastructure projects, from planning and design to execution and completion.
- Team Leadership : Lead and supervise project teams, including construction workers, subcontractors, and engineers, to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
- Budget & Schedule Management : Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
- Quality Control : Oversee the quality of work, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and industry standards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration : Work closely with internal teams, such as engineering, procurement, and operations, as well as external stakeholders, including contractors, regulatory bodies, and utility companies.
- Compliance & Permits : Ensure all projects adhere to local regulations, codes, and zoning requirements. Obtain necessary permits and approvals for construction activities.
- Risk Management : Identify and mitigate potential risks during the construction process, including safety hazards, delays, and budget overruns.
- Reporting : Provide regular updates on project progress, including status reports, cost tracking, and milestone achievements to senior leadership.
Education :
- Certification or Degree in Construction / Project Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
Requirements :
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in construction management, with at least 3 years of experience in managing EV infrastructure or electrical projects.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certifications preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and EV infrastructure requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, simultaneously.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and electrical schematics.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards related to construction and electrical work.
