WHAT YOU WILL DO:
As an Estimator/Project Coordinator in fireproofing, you’ll be at the heart of our project success. Working alongside Project Managers and skilled professionals, you will:
- Collaborate to develop detailed and accurate project estimates, ensuring a thorough understanding of client needs and fireproofing requirements.
- Review drawings and specifications to determine project scope and requirements.
- Track project progress, scheduling, and quantity, making sure each project remains on schedule and meets quality standards.
- Prepare bids, create proposals, and engage with clients throughout the bidding process to win projects and build strong client relationships.
- Manage documentation and organization for each project, including safety, quality, and scheduling records.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and pricing for various project components.
- Perform quantity surveys and support project teams with shipping, logistics, and work package management.
Project Coordination Skills:
- Ability to work collaboratively with project managers and teams to align on project goals and outcomes.
- Keen eye for detail when reviewing drawings and calculating estimates to ensure project accuracy.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook to maintain records, generate reports, and streamline project documentation.
- Able to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and stay organized in a dynamic work environment.
- Strong written and verbal skills to communicate effectively with internal teams and clients.
- Able to work independently and thrive in a team setting.
MUST HAVES:
- Familiarity with Construction Drawings: Ability to read and interpret drawings is an asset, though not required.
- Adaptability: Comfortable in a fast-paced setting, able to handle competing priorities while maintaining quality.
- Commitment to Client Excellence: Passionate about delivering top-notch service and meeting client expectations.
- Experience: Previous experience in estimating or fireproofing is a plus but not mandatory. A passion for the industry and a willingness to learn will make you successful in this role!
- Educational background with a C.E.T, PMP, or Construction Management would be ideal.
