EPIC Systems Analyst

*This position is required to be on-site. This is not a remote role.*

We are looking for a full time Systems Analyst to join our IT team in Vancouver, WA. The Systems Analyst will be responsible for assisting in implementing, configuring, and maintaining the EPIC EHR.

Responsibilities:

• Supports an environment that reinforces Rebound’s mission and Core Values of Superior Service, Teamwork, Integrity, Innovation, Quality and Recognition.
• Participate in the project team to convert from prior system to EPIC during the first few months.
• Field incoming problem reports from end users to resolve application and software issues within servers, databases, and other critical systems. Provide basic technical support and maintain accurate records and reports.
• Establish and maintain detailed knowledge of the functionality, clinical content and use of the EPIC EHR/PM.
• Record, track, and document the problem-solving process including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made and actions taken.
• Identify areas for improvement and to increase efficiencies in the use of EPIC.
• Coordinate, setup, and maintain usernames and passwords for employees. Ensure that existing and transferred employees are updated appropriately.
• Participate in rotating on-call after-hours support program.
• Post software knowledge bases and frequently asked questions resources on the intranet to assist in problem resolution. Develop and maintain training documents for all software programs.
• Communicate application problems and issues to the I.T. Team.
• Test fixes and perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.
• Train new hires and other personnel as needed.
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and abide by all HIPAA rules and regulations.
• Perform related work as required.

Requirements:

• Ideal candidate has a 4-year college degree in a technical field. Minimum requirement is a two-year college degree in a computer-related course of study.
• Experience with at least one electronic medical record, preferably EPIC.
• Experience providing training and end-user support in a similarly-sized practice.
• Excellent people skills, professionalism, and experience with new and non-technical end users.
• Basic knowledge of computer networks and systems.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with patient and clinic data.
• Ability to explain technical topics clearly and simply, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work well as part of a team or leader of a team.
• Ability to resolve problems that frequently require skill and ingenuity.
• Knowledge of SQL, Crystal, and general database skills.
