Wood is currently inviting expressions of interest for maintAI (Maintenance) Superintendents for our Digital Operations Team in the US. Please note that at this stage, applications for these roles are invited as an Expression of Interest (EOI) while opportunities are being fully determined.

The Role

The maintAI (Maintenance) Superintendents will drive and lead management and delivery of maintAI projects across Americas region, supporting the development of strategy and delivering regionally related business plans.

Provide day-to-day management and supervision of the maintAI delivery and development team, ensuring delivery against maintAI project objectives and outcomes.

Control multiple simultaneous interdependent tasks by delivering a number of maintAI components to customers across Preventive Maintenance Strategy, Overdue Backlog, Spares and Predictive Maintenance.

Review maintAI project budget, cost and schedule across Americas region, and embedding an Inspired Culture within the combined One-Wood delivery team, across SBUs (Operations and Consulting).

Contribute to the continuous development and upgrades to the maintAI global product by producing solutions to the complex strategic, contractual, technical, commercial, operational and personnel related challenges which are required to deliver transformational maintenance value to our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Setting expectations for maintAI delivery team.
  • Provision of discipline and subject matter expertise as applied to maintenance and reliability systems.
  • Support delivery of maintAI targets and report on both opportunities and risks impacting on the business.
  • Continuous promotion of, and adherence to, management system and providing feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Supports line manager in delivery of annual business goals and strategies for maintAI in Americas and supports preparation of business plan for assigned location.
  • Actively identifies opportunities for maintAI development to bring further commercial and disruptive value to Wood and customer.
  • Ensure our people at which they operate are safe and well managed, developed, empowered, and ultimately inspired.
  • Ensure robust Management of Change and build a learning culture.

Business Growth

  • Adopt a Seller-Doer mentality to deliver growth strategy which requires a disruptive pursuit and win-plan to show value to customer and thus, value of maintAI to them.
  • Deliver growth in the areas of responsibility through close collaboration with Operations and Consulting Business Development. Support development of business plan, and drive maintAI sales, bid and tender activity within Americas in conjunction with Global Growth Manager.
  • In support of continued growth, ensure that maintAI develops responsive, dependable, and cost-effective services, servicing target markets, collaborating across business units and business groupings, and actively leveraging Wood solutions to address customer needs.
  • Foster and enhance customer relationships with open, honest and effective communications. Work with customer-facing teams to improve scope of work/offering, understand and deliver customer required level of services.

Leadership

  • Is a champion and role model for ethical behavior and compliance with applicable laws and policies.
  • Ensure Maint.ai operations maintain a continued alignment with overall corporate policy, strategy and direction.
  • Responsive to customer needs whilst ensuring the Company operates with the utmost integrity, in line with Code of Conduct, Company values and all applicable laws and policies.
  • Facilitate open and effective communication to optimize delivery of objectives, maximize team performance and achieve continuous performance improvement, working closely with other areas of operation within assigned country/region to promote and enhance collaboration.

  • Actively supports recruitment, selection, transfers and promotion of resources to meet succession and wider Wood business plans.

  • Support line manager in ensuring employees within remit are competent to carry out assigned duties.

Expected

  • Degree qualification in Engineering, Scientific Discipline, or related technical field OR degree qualified in a commercial/business discipline with significant experience in a technical organization.
  • Recognized and accredited chartership in area of technical or management expertise preferred.

Knowledge, Skills And Experience

  • Understanding of analytical techniques applied to maintenance and reliability systems to understand performance and opportunity for optimization.
  • An interest in Digitalization and application of automation and AI techniques to deliver value at pace.
  • Broad and deep understanding of the Energy industry and strong networking and relationship building capability with maintAI customer base.
  • Proven experience of customer facing communication.
  • Knowledge of current HSSEA, regulatory and other legislation as applicable in the industry maintAI is being deployed.
  • Team building skills – motivating people, proactively enabling cross functional best practice within cross SBU teams.
  • The ability to influence and challenge others to behave in ways consistent with the interest of the organization and maintAI global objectives.
