We are currently recruiting for a Environmental Scientist Level I at our Chemetics Burnaby Lab. Our team includes world class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is a full-time on-site position based in Burnaby, B.C., Canada. Reporting to the R&D Laboratory Manager, you will play a key role in developing innovative, cost-effective, and environmentally sustainable solutions for industries such as chemical processing, water treatment, carbon capture, sulfur recovery, and non-ferrous metals. In this role, you will conduct laboratory and pilot-scale testing of advanced technologies and chemical processes aimed at enhancing or redesigning existing systems. You will also contribute to product quality control, ensuring our solutions meet the highest standards. Occasionally, travel to customer sites (world-wide) will also be required to provide analytical support during plant commissioning and/or for technical service. Working closely with vendors and team members, you will serve as a technical resource, supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient execution of projects. For applicants based in the province of British Columbia, the salary range is $58,000 to $70,000. Application of the pay band: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
