Your Opportunity

As an Environmental Report Author, you will be part of our Environmental Site Investigation, Remediation and Response practice in the Prairies. We are seeking an exceptionally talented and enthusiastic individual, capable of working independently, with solid technical writing skills to join our team and advance their career. This position would ideally be located in our Saskatoon or Regina, Saskatchewan offices; however, we would also consider basing it in our Winnipeg, MB office.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Demonstrate ability to analyze field and technical data, and draft technical reports
  2. Analysis and interpretation of field program collected data (by others) from site visits, test pitting, borehole drilling, monitoring well installation, soil vapor surveys, soil and groundwater remediation monitoring, surveying, etc.
  3. Author environmental site assessment program reports including Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, remediation programs, and hydrogeological investigations
  4. Carry out office duties such as data management, analysis and interpretation, report preparation, proposal preparation, and other general tasks
  5. Able and willing to work evenings and weekends as required

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  1. Excellent oral and written communication skills
  2. Strong time management and organization skills to support independent work
  3. Ability to work collaboratively with other science and engineering disciplines to develop creative solutions for our clients
  4. Demonstrate knowledge of reporting software
  5. Strong attention to detail
  6. Thorough understanding of applicable provincial and federal environmental regulations and guidelines
  7. Initiative to integrate creativity and innovation in all work tasks

Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geoscience, Engineering, or similar discipline.
  2. 5 – 8 years of applicable experience in conducting field programs for environmental site assessment and/or remediation projects and drafting associated reports.
  3. Project coordination/management experience is an asset.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Ability to lift and move items and equipment up to 50 lbs.
