About the Role :
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager specializing in contaminated sites to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental site assessments, remediation, and regulatory compliance. This role involves managing multiple projects, coordinating with clients and regulatory bodies, and leading teams to deliver high-quality environmental solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage and oversee environmental projects related to contaminated sites from inception to completion.
- Conduct and supervise Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).
- Develop and implement remediation strategies for contaminated sites.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to provide technical expertise and project updates.
- Prepare technical reports, proposals, and regulatory documentation.
- Monitor project budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful completion.
- Mentor and guide junior staff in environmental assessment and remediation techniques.
Qualifications & Experience :
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in environmental consulting or a related field, with a focus on contaminated sites.
- Professional designation (e.g., P.Eng., P.Geo., or R.P.Bio.) or eligibility to obtain one.
- Strong knowledge of federal, provincial, and local environmental regulations.
- Experience with soil and groundwater sampling, remediation technologies, and risk assessment.
- Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and team coordination.
- Strong communication and report-writing abilities.
- Proficiency in GIS, data analysis tools, and environmental modeling software is an asset.
