The Position
We are currently seeking an Environmental Project Manager to lead our team based out of our Edmonton office. This is a full-time permanent position focused on leading ecology environmental regulatory applications and related projects. Project work is team-based, safety-driven, and is completed for the energy, forestry, government, and private landowners throughout the province of Alberta and BC.

Position Responsibilities
- This position is responsible for safe and efficient project work;
- Lead and manage project deliverables and working relationships with Woodlands peers, management, regulators, and clients;
- Provide senior direction, business development, and strategy development to Woodlands;
- Maintain regulatory compliance and best management practices for vegetation and wetlands management;
- Support our mobile technology, spatial data set integrity, and web-enabled dashboard;
- Provide senior ecology review of reports and data analysis;
- Support mentorship and inspire the professional development of Woodlands employees.
Position Requirements and Qualifications
- Knowledgeable of watercourse, riparian, and wetland ecosystems and best management practices;
- Knowledgeable of environmental regulatory permitting and applications;
- University Degree or technical diploma is required in Environmental, Earth Science, Forestry, Biology, or Engineering;
- Professional registration in one of Alberta's Professional Regulatory Organizations;
- Qualified Wetlands Science Practitioner and Qualified Aquatic Environmental Specialist designation is seen as an asset;
- 5 or more years of relevant experience;
- Advanced technical writing, data analysis, reporting, and communication skills;
- GIS and geospatial data analysis knowledge or experience is considered as an asset;
- Previous teaching experience with data or ecological based subjects is considered as an asset;
- Ability to demonstrate leadership, quality, safety, and customer service focus.
