Entry-level Junior Business Analyst- HYBRID

Our Calgary energy client is looking for a detail-oriented Junior Business Analyst on an initial 12-month contract. In this role, you’ll handle day-to-day transaction management, including preparing and issuing transportation contracts, providing customer service, and ensuring compliance with contract governance and tariff guidelines. Responsibilities

1. Oversee and manage all project activities, ensuring seamless execution and timely completion.
2. Monitor work progress, update schedules, and utilize tracking tools to maintain project momentum.
3. Organize, maintain, and publish project documents on SharePoint for easy accessibility and transparency.
4. Develop and implement strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate potential project risks.
5. Provide creative and effective solutions to complex technical issues, ensuring project success and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

1. 6 months - 3 years of prior experience as a Business Analyst or similar function.
2. Contract analysis and management, responsible for execution, monitoring, and continuous improvement of contracting function.
3. Uses knowledge of tariff requirements for transportation services to ensure contract adjustments meet our terms of service.
4. Help facilitate the ongoing exchange of information and continuous improvement across departments.
5. Provides analysis and integrated solutions to eliminate recurring data issues.
6. Assists in developing and maintaining up-to-date and accurate documentation and provides knowledge transfer for business processes and workflows within functional area.
7. Adheres to compliance with work standards, policies and procedures.
8. Participates in projects that involve enhancements to contracting systems including design requirements and user acceptance testing.
9. Provides exceptional customer service while providing solutions that support the needs of the client.
