Roles and Responsibilities - Enterprise Solution Architect (ERP Implementation)
1.Architectural Leadership:
- Develop and maintain an enterprise architecture framework that aligns with company goals and enables successful ERP implementations.
- Define principles and guidelines for designing and integrating ERP solutions across the organization.
2.Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with business leaders, IT teams, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure that the ERP architecture supports business processes and objectives.
- Act as a liaison between business and technology teams to facilitate understanding and communication.
3.Strategic Planning:
- Evaluate and recommend ERP technologies, tools, and platforms that best meet organizational needs and future growth.
- Develop long-term architecture strategies that promote innovation and agility while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
4.Integration Management:
- Design and oversee integration strategies for ERP systems with other enterprise applications and data sources, ensuring seamless data flows and interoperability.
- Address challenges related to data architecture and integration complexity.
5.Technology Governance:
- Establish governance frameworks that ensure adherence to architectural standards and best practices throughout the ERP project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments of the ERP architecture to ensure continuous improvement.
6.Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the strategic use of ERP systems and related technologies.
- Ensure alignment with security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
7.Performance Optimization:
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the ERP systems, making recommendations for enhancements and optimizations.
- Ensure that the ERP architecture is scalable, reliable, and capable of meeting future business demands.
8.Documentation and Communication:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for architectural designs, standards, and processes.
- Communicate architectural decisions effectively across all levels of the organization to ensure understanding and buy-in.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience: Enterprise Solution Architect (ERP Implementation)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect, focusing on ERP solutions, with in-depth knowledge of leading ERP platforms (e.g., Workday, Oracle, SAP, UKG, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, COBIT, Zachman) and methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to foresee and address architectural challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration and stakeholder management.
- Experience in project management and familiarity with agile methodologies is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Enterprise architecture and solution architecture.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, change management experience, alongside excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and risk management.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably Tier 1 ERPs) and an in-depth understanding of their implementation, data migration, system integration, and customization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Preferred Certifications and Designations:
Relevant certifications TOGAF, COBIT, Zachman are a plus.
