Who we need

Reporting to the Manager of Enterprise Applications, we are hiring an Enterprise Applications Administrator on an 18-month maternity leave contract. As the new Enterprise Applications Administrator, you will be part of a team playing a pivotal role in managing, supporting, and enhancing our IT systems. You will ensure the reliability and performance of our Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics applications that support our student applicants, staff, and operations. From configuring software to solving technical challenges, you will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our enterprise systems.

This is a remote role with the flexibility to work onsite as needed at our location in downtown Toronto.

What's in it for you

  • Impact: You want to bring your knowledge of enterprise applications to support end users, streamline their daily work, and connect them to the tools they need. You want to channel your customer focus into a Tier 2 enterprise support role where you can make a massive impact, ensuring seamless 24/7 technology access for over 1,000 staff and faculty and 17,000 students.
  • Technical growth: This is an opportunity to work on a large scale at a multi-site organization hosting and accessing numerous interoperating systems. You will tackle challenges, maintain enterprise applications, including Salesforce and MS Dynamics, support updates and configurations, and directly enhance productivity for the business and student communities.
  • Career development: Yorkville University is a progressive, forward-thinking, innovative education centre. You will join an organization that inspires change, nurtures collaboration, supports faculty and students in their journey, and continuously innovates. As part of a growing IT team, you will gain exposure collaborating with peers and across teams to refine your skills. Your contract with us may be extended, and you will have the opportunity to explore other opportunities within the organization.

As our new Enterprise Applications Administrator, you will:

  • Provide user support: You will respond to requests for Tier II support, addressing application-related queries and resolving issues to ensure seamless functionality and a positive user experience.
  • Administer and customize platforms: You will manage and configure Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics to meet organizational needs, including creating and modifying dashboards, workflows, and automation processes. You will ensure user roles, permissions, and security settings are properly configured to maintain data integrity and compliance.
  • Optimize performance and monitor usage: You will continuously monitor system performance, identifying and implementing improvements to enhance functionality and efficiency. You will identify and implement solutions to enhance platform capabilities and the user experience.
  • Drive continuous improvement: You will stay informed about the latest features and updates for Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics, ensuring the platforms evolve to meet organizational needs. You will collaborate with stakeholders and partner across teams to gather feedback, refine system usage, drive process improvements, and align capabilities with departmental workflows.

You have:

  • The education: You have a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • The experience: You have direct experience supporting, troubleshooting, updating, and maintaining enterprise-level IT systems and applications, including Salesforce and MS Dynamics. You can learn and navigate customizations and work quickly. You have experience prioritizing a high flow of application incident tickets, requiring an accelerated response and remediation.
  • The customer-focus: You have excellent organizational skills and can manage competing demands and shifting priorities. You have patience and empathy and can dig in to understand the technical issues end users are encountering. You have the curiosity and logic to ask probing questions to replicate and resolve problems quickly. You have flexible communication skills and can translate technical language and concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • The flexibility: You understand the nature of always-available services and solutions, and you are willing and able to be part of a 24/7 monitoring and response team.
