Position Summary

Acuren Group is currently recruiting a EIT/Reliability Specialist to support ongoing projects in Saskatchewan. These positions will be based out of our Saskatoon and Lloydminster offices and will support projects/clients in the Prairies Region. The successful candidate will work closely with Senior CBM specialists and Reliability Engineers to add value to the clients Predictive Maintenance Program.

Responsibilities

Conduct engineering work including:

  • Assist in planning and execution of condition-based monitoring technologies.
  • Assist in collecting reliability and condition-based monitoring data, including vibration, infrared, ultrasound, to identify trends and potential issues with a variety of static and dynamic assets.
  • Maintain detailed records of data, analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Support senior engineers in conducting root cause analyses (RCA) and failure mode and effects analyses (FMEA) as required.
  • Support maintenance teams in troubleshooting and resolution using condition-based maintenance technologies.
  • Willingness to obtain certifications in condition-based monitoring technologies.

Participating in technical projects:

  • Providing technical support to projects;
  • Acting as project leader for site inspections and supporting technical investigations, communicating with clients to gather evidence, conducting analysis, and preparing reports;
  • Ensuring efficient use of resources and delivery of results.

Providing clients with support and engineering expertise by:

  • Proactively taking the initiative to understand customer requirements and needs to ensure expectations are met and exceeded;
  • Identifying additional services and products and new technologies to meet ongoing client needs;
  • Meeting with customers to discuss report findings, recommendations, and conclusions;
  • Following up with clients regarding implementation of recommendations;
  • Continually striving for process improvements including creating comprehensive reports aligned to client needs, identifying solutions to issues, and developing recommendations for implementation.

Requirements

  • A university degree in Engineering.
  • CBM experience in heavy industry and marine industry.
  • Current or willingness to obtain certification as a Vibration Specialist.
  • Training or equivalent experience in predictive technologies would be an asset (Thermography Level 1, Motor Circuit Analysis Level 1, and Ultrasonic Level 1).
  • Experience with industrial equipment, willingness to work in the field in a hands-on environment.
  • Membership in the applicable provincial association for professional engineers is required.
  • Application of NDT methodologies towards optimal equipment maintenance strategies and the ability to provide a path forward based on testing results.
  • Ability to resolve issues and problems that are not clearly defined.
  • Ability to manage large amounts of data effectively.
  • Ability to translate knowledge into practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to effectively respond to different levels of understanding and produce professional reports.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Written and verbal English competency is required.
  • Driver's license, Class 5 (clean record) required.
