Engineer III

We are looking for an Engineer III to supervise and/or carry out engineering designs to meet client needs and ensure they meet corporate and professional engineering and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, co-ordinate and/or conduct complex design/engineering assignments on multiple projects.
• Monitor work schedule to ensure work is completed on time.
• Review work for accuracy, completeness and to ensure it meets technical specifications as well as company standards.
• Provide technical support/training for less experienced engineers, trainees, and designers.
• Check, review, and approve application drawings.
• Visit construction project sites and carry out inspections as required.
• Work closely with Aluma Systems’ sales representatives on engineering designs that utilize Aluma products.
• Provide backup support to senior engineer and engineer manager.
• Occasional travel to branch offices to provide engineering support in those locations.
• Provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent, with appropriate license.
• Full membership in a recognized professional engineering association.
• Minimum of eight (8) or more years of postgraduate working experience in a relevant field, preferably in shoring, forming, and access scaffolding applications or similar products.
• The job requires good written and oral communication skills (English) to convey facts and information clearly.
• Sound working knowledge of AutoCAD software and MS Office.
• Good working knowledge of structural analysis software.
• Must possess a professional engineering license.
• Commitment to professional career development.
• Demonstrated teamwork and interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and ability to work collegially with sales personnel and others to provide customer-focused engineered solutions in the rental and/or sale of forming, shoring, and scaffolding products.
• Excellent leadership skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and effectively, and work overtime to complete tasks as required.
