Reporting to the Senior Civil Engineer in the Site Engineering Department, the Project Engineer-Civil is responsible for the design, procurement, and construction of sustaining engineering projects at Highland Valley Copper. The project portfolio typically includes brownfield projects ranging in capital from $250K up to $5M. Projects routinely involve water pumping, slurry pumping, pipelines, infrastructure relocations, concrete, and civil works.
This role includes significant interaction with various stakeholders across the mine site. Further, this role is responsible for supervising a unionized workforce and on-site contractors during the construction phase of the projects.
To be successful, we are looking for someone with strong verbal and written communication, as well as excellent interpersonal, organization, and problem-solving abilities; a team-oriented individual with a strong focus on safety, personal responsibility, and who is highly self-motivated. The ability to maintain a positive and flexible attitude while working independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment is vital in this role.

Salary Range: $103,000 - $127,000
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
