Overview:

$19.50 / hour

This is a vacant position. Joining our Canada’s Wonderland team means you’ll provide exceptional service for our employees and guests when they visit the park.

You’ll also…

  • Work directly with the Chair of the Associate Experience Committee to plan and execute various programs and events outlined by the committee as well as supporting the Associate Services team.
  • Attend committee meetings and be present on event days to ensure all details are taken care of and the event runs smoothly.
  • Communicate with the Food & Beverage department to ensure food items are ordered, as well as other items from various departments within Canada’s Wonderland (Entertainment, Maintenance, Merchandise etc.).
  • Create flyers, print material, digital invitations, and send out mass communication to employees about various events and programs.
  • Source and purchase snacks, prizes, decorations etc. for the event as needed and work within the allotted budget.
  • Coordinate all ticket orders and process invoices as required.
  • Manage event logistics, execution and teardown of employee events.
  • Organize and coordinate the distribution of items relating to committee initiatives.
  • Provide weekly progress updates to the Chair of the committee as well as a summary at the end of events.
  • Assist with other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Post Secondary education in Event Planning, Hospitality or Travel and Tourism or related experience is preferred.
  • Someone who is creative, detail oriented, strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Candidates that are able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong decision making, listening skills, and the ability to navigate issues as they arise.
  • Individuals that are able to lift up to 30 pounds as needed.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and comfortable learning new software applications.
  • Availability that includes working flexible shifts on weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
