Electronics Technician/Technologist

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and results-driven Electronics Technician/Technologist with a proven ability to work efficiently and with a continuous improvement approach. In this role you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary project team developing new and innovative electronics solutions to meet Nautel customer needs. You will have the opportunity to apply and develop your skills while providing technical support to the design project and supporting teams.

Responsibilities

1. Development and testing of electronic circuits, sub-assemblies and transmitter systems;
2. Electronic component selection, circuit analysis and modeling;
3. Setup and operation of specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, qualify and analyze performance of systems;
4. Preparation and validation of design, production and product documentation;
5. Technical support to Marketing, Sales, Customer Service and Production departments;

Qualifications

Qualifications and skills desired:

1. Electronic Technician/Technologist qualification;
2. Strong problem solving and analytical skills;
3. Effective written and communication skills that will be used internally during design, in project meetings and while providing support and input to other teams;
4. Ability to work effectively as part of a team, and across different functions, as well as independently;
5. Experience testing and troubleshooting electronic circuits and systems, including use of related test equipment;
6. Previous experience in a development environment would be an asset;
7. Experience designing analog and digital circuits would be an asset;
8. Experience with firmware development would be an asset;
9. Use of CAD programs such as schematic drawing, mechanical drawing, PCB creation and electronic circuit analysis would be an asset;
