Onboard Systems International (“Onboard”), a Signia Aerospace company, is the leading global provider of external cargo handling equipment for civil and military helicopters. Founded nearly 50 years ago, the facility in Vancouver, WA has a growing product portfolio including mechanical cargo hooks and suspension systems, to proprietary weighing systems and a Human External Cargo (HEC) line of equipment. In addition to serving every major OEM, the company heavily targets helicopter owners like municipal, fire, search and rescue operators and utility companies. In total, we serve over 1,000 customers around the world.

Onboard Systems is a part of Signia Aerospace, whose brands lead the aerospace and aviation industry in performance and quality.

Onboard Systems International has an immediate full-time opening for an experienced electronic assembler with fine hand soldering (30 gage wire) and troubleshooting skills. The job is in a climate-controlled building working with hand soldering tools, tweezers, clamps, and a magnifying lens to see the work piece. It is very important that the candidate realize this is fine, detailed work. Someone who has done board-level repairs on fine electronic circuitry would likely be a strong candidate.

This position is for day shift, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assemble electronic products to drawing and documentation requirements.
  2. Troubleshoot non-functioning electronic products needing repair.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum 3 years experience doing similar work.

Required Skills:

  1. Proficiency with hand soldering, multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, and hand tools.
  2. Ability to read drawings and documents in English and have an extremely high level of attention to detail and integrity.
  3. Prefer training in J-STD-001 Requirements for Soldered Electrical & Electronic Assemblies.
  4. Reasonable computer skills.

Education Requirements:

  1. Minimum HS diploma or equivalent.
  2. Tech school training.

Salary:

Salary will be $20-$24/hr. plus overtime depending on experience & background. Benefits package includes medical and dental insurance, 401K, vacation & holiday pay.
