Job Description

Salary: $33.196 - $34.216

Schedule: Days, Rotating Weekends & Rotating Holidays

Shift: 8 hrs

Position Summary: This is a full-time position to work days and evenings, including weekends and statutory holidays. In this position, you will be expected to perform activities in maintaining and installing the electrical distribution system from the main breaker to individual lights and plugs throughout the hospital. Installing, constructing, replacing, or repairing fixtures, structures, and equipment throughout the hospital. The physical demands of the role may include but are not limited to prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling. This position contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Posted hours do not constitute a guarantee that shifts will not be subject to change.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Journeyman's ticket in any of the electrical disciplines
• Five (5) years of recent experience in electrical maintenance in an institutional healthcare setting.
• Working knowledge of program logic and communications experience considered an asset.
• Must hold and have a valid Certificate of Qualification Electrical license.
• Must be able to work independently within the team structure.
• Teamwork is a priority, and technicians must be willing to work with and assist co-workers as needed.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination to ensure safe handling of all equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize work assignments.
• Effective communication and planning skills.
• Consistently demonstrates the values of the hospital (Collaboration, Caring, Accountability, Innovation, and Respect).
• Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis is required.
• Must have a strong safety background with the ability to follow and utilize all safety equipment and PPE requirements at all times.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and climb for inspection purposes and lift 15 Kgs above your head is required.
• Regular attendance is required.
