Location: 514 Carlingview Drive Etobicoke Ontario M9W 5R3

Shift: Rotating days and nights (Must be available to work 2 weekends per month)

Shift Timing: 6am to 6pm on days and 6pm to 6am on nights

Pay rate: $42.50 to $45.50/hour plus shift premium of $1.50/hr on nights. Overtime pay after 40 hours.

If you have PLC experience we also offer a PLC Premium of $5.00/hr (programming skills required - modifying time delays, counters, contacts, etc.), and must pass our PLC assessment.

In a typical day you will:

• PLC and HMI programming changes and troubleshooting including modification and calibration of equipment; weight scales, VFD, Servomotors, and network communications experience.
• Repair, troubleshooting and installation of machinery including electrical and electronic equipment, control systems and automation.
• Electrical wiring and testing of automated systems.
• Optimize equipment safety, efficiency and reliability, participating in continuous improvement projects and completing work orders according to PM schedules.
• Previous Food industry experience preferred.
• Comply with all applicable legislative and Bakery food safety, health and safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Service, clean and perform preventative maintenance and overhaul on all production and bakery equipment.
• Continually improve equipment function via design improvements.
• Ensure that work area is clean of debris and hazards at all times and check work area for such hazards upon arrival and when departing each area of work.
• Work in a safe manner in accordance with legislated and company health and safety standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

Skills & Other Requirements:

• 2-5 years' industrial, electrical and mechanical experience, preferably in the food industry.
• General knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) and ability to assist all trades people as required.
• Problem solving skills and good communication skills are required.
• Ability to work a flexible shift day/afternoon/night, Sunday to Saturday.
• Industrial Electrician License (442A) or 309A is an asset.
• Refrigeration Operator experience an asset.
