Electrical Scheduler - P6

An exciting opportunity with an industry leader in electrical construction. Based in the Markham / Richmond Hill area, we are looking for either an experienced electrical scheduler or someone that has limited experience but is willing to be mentored. Directly report to one of our industry's top leaders who works with his team and allows them to define their own career paths. This opportunity has opened due to retirement, but you will have access to one of the best all-top schedulers in the GTA on an as-needed basis.

Position Overview:

The Scheduler, Electrical Construction is responsible for aiding project management teams in scheduling all mid to large scale projects. Within each key area of accountability, the Scheduler will interact with fellow employees, clients, and associated partners to contribute to the overall success of awarded contracts.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 3 years of project scheduling experience within electrical construction.
2. Experience in developing detailed schedules, resource loading, and tracking project progress using Primavera P6.
3. Computer literate with proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Office and project management applications.

Key Areas of Accountability:

1. Effectively coordinate with team members to develop baseline resource loaded construction schedules.
2. Assist the Project Managers and Superintendents in creating short term schedules and monitoring these schedules to determine their impact on the Master schedules.
3. Coordinate multiple schedules, solve schedule conflicts while under pressure and understand the complex sequence of construction building.
4. Proactively identify problems or conflicts in the project schedule and assist the Project Manager or Superintendent in effectively reaching and managing a resolution.
5. Accurately maintain and appropriately alter project schedule where necessary to ensure project targets are achieved.
6. Maintain active lines of communication with project teams and clients.
