Overview Our client is seeking a Junior Electrical Project Manager to support their highway traffic lighting and ITS projects across Toronto. This role is ideal for candidates with 2-3 years of experience managing electrical infrastructure projects in the transportation sector.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in estimating, planning, scheduling, and budgeting for highway traffic lighting and ITS projects.
Coordinate with stakeholders, including municipal agencies, contractors, and suppliers, to meet project objectives.
Support the installation and maintenance of electrical systems, traffic signal controls, and ITS devices (e.g., CCTV, VMS, and detection systems).
Ensure compliance with Ontario regulations, safety standards, and municipal guidelines.
Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to specifications.
Maintain accurate documentation and prepare status reports for stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2-3 years in electrical project management and estimation experience, with a focus on highway infrastructure.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and project management software, with knowledge of Ontario traffic control systems and electrical standards.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
PMP or traffic control/ITS certifications would be preferred.
