Your Key Responsibilities

• Oversee design process from feasibility through completion and liaise directly with clients on major projects.
• Perform detailed electrical design work and review the work of junior designers.
• Direct CAD team for drawing preparation and review deliverables before submission to the client.
• Prepare written reports based on building electrical assessments and audits.
• Prepare written tender documents and technical specifications. Evaluate products and contractor proposals to make award recommendations to the owner.
• Work with management to develop business strategies related to new clients and potential growth areas in electrical engineering.
• Assist with proposal preparation and contacting new clients to grow business.

Qualifications

• CAD experience is required.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD 2006/2004/2008/2010.
• Knowledge of lighting software and basic engineering is preferred.
• Experience with roadway & highways lighting projects would be a strong asset.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects within a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• P.Eng. registration in Canada.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in engineering consulting.
