Electrical Apprentice Level 4 and 5

Spark Power, a trusted partner in energy in North America, is looking for an Electrical Apprentice Level 4 and 5 to join our Burlington team. Spark Power Electrical Apprentices are responsible for helping Journeymen and other employees with their tasks and contributing to operations. Over time, the Apprentice’s skills will increase, allowing them to take more ownership of jobs based on their abilities.

What you'll be doing as an Electrical Apprentice at Spark Power:

1. Deciding on the best methods for visualizing, measuring, and estimating work as appropriate for the job situation.
2. Determining when additional materials are needed to complete required work.
3. Defining and labeling wires, conduits, and apparatus to avoid shock/electrocution.
4. Choosing the best routing options for conduit, wires, and other systems.
5. Assisting newer/fellow Apprentices with orientation and learning.
6. Attending required meetings, safety meetings, and professional development sessions.
7. Keeping phone and barcode scanner charged and ready, and truck stocked with proper tools and materials.
8. Loading materials, lifts, trailers, and other equipment.
9. Maintaining work order accuracy.
10. Performing field work/installations.
11. Performing vehicle maintenance.

Do you have the Spark? Here’s what we’re looking for:

1. High School Diploma.
2. Registered Electrical Apprentice – Minimum level 3.
3. Experience in industrial, commercial, and/or institutional electrical work.
4. Excellent attitude with a proactive, hardworking, and team-oriented personality is key!
5. Valid Driver's License with clear abstract is required.
6. Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
7. Reliable and committed to quality work and contributing to the team.
8. Electrical knowledge is an asset.
9. Positive and hardworking attitude with a desire to grow in your Electrical career.
10. Good numeracy skills.
11. Attention to detail and ability to meet specified deadlines.
12. Adhere to all Health and Safety standards and practices.
