This is a fixed-term, 1-year contract.

What’s in it for you?

What you will do:

  • Assess credit applications and determine creditworthiness
  • Open client accounts and project accounts, including customer master updates
  • Perform financial statement analysis and provide recommendations on customer credit risk
  • Analyze bonds and liens within various provincial legislations
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and branch network to support business initiatives
  • Review credit scores and assess portfolio risk
  • Interpret and apply credit and operational risk management strategies
  • Provide recommendations and credit strategies to drive business growth
  • Communicate effectively with the branch and sales network, ensuring key leaders are informed of customer credit risk

What you will bring:

  • Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or relevant credit adjudication experience (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a credit adjudication role.
  • CCP designation or progress toward certification is an asset.
  • Knowledge of SOX controls is considered an asset.
  • Strong financial analysis skills, including cash flow reports, financial ratios, and trends.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong judgment, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective listening, negotiation, and persuasion abilities.
  • Fluency in French and English is necessary for communicating with customers across Canada.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) at an intermediate+ level.
  • Knowledge of AS400 is considered an asset.
