In-home Caregiver – Private Home – BoKi Family

• NOC Job Code/Title: 44100 - Home Child Care Provider

Terms of Employment: This job is for a full-time position (between 32 and 40 hours per week). Flexible/Split shift work schedule is required. Weekend work may be required. Job start is April 1, 2025.

Language Requirement: French or English.

Salary: Wage offered is between $15.75 and $17 per hour. Future wage adjustments will be made when the provincial minimum wage rate changes.

Location: BoKi family lives in the city of Westmount, Quebec. The home is situated in a residential neighbourhood, with schools and parks nearby. The city bus is easily accessible (bus # 124). The major intersection is Victoria Ave + Sunnyside Ave.

Duties may include:

1. Help with the care of two children—a 7-year-old and a 4-year-old.
2. Supervision of children when parents are not at home.
3. Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading, and outings to provide amusement and exercise.
4. Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
5. Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
6. Plan, prepare, and serve meals for children. Kitchen clean-up is also required.
7. General housework, including doing laundry and ironing of school uniforms.
8. Dusting rooms to ensure a clean environment.

Qualifications:

1. Must have completed at minimum the Canadian equivalent of secondary school education.
2. Must have at least one year of work-related experience as a caregiver.
3. Must be dependable, hardworking, independent, and able to manage the job without supervision.
