Job Summary

The Canteen Project Manager will support Canteen to transition new accounts from the existing service provider to Compass, to ensure a smooth, seamless transition and all project deliverables are delivered according to our commitment on the contract and/or response to RFP. This position will work with a variety of groups including Operations, Finance, Vendors/Suppliers, IT, Sales, and our Clients.

Now, if you were to come on board as our Canteen Project Manager, we’d ask you to do the following for us:

1. Transition project management; accountable for project delivery on time and on budget
2. Single point of contact meeting weekly with the client to provide updates
3. Lead formal, internal, weekly meetings with all internal stakeholders and perform daily follow-ups to ensure project tasks are being delivered on time; generate meeting agenda and provides meeting minutes
4. Complete tracking and reporting of project activities, status and SLA’s
5. Develop project plan and project charter to meet established business standards
6. Conduct site visits to evaluate project progress
7. Perform risk mitigation, reports and assessments
8. Support the Canteen team’s overall goal to reduce or avoid costs, increase efficiency, streamline processes and build confidence and trust with our clients, internal departments, contractors, consultants
9. Organize and expedite work flow
10. Generate project kick-off report, project closeout report, lessons learned and weekly meeting minutes
11. Complete and distribute weekly executive project update report

1. 5+ years’ experience in project management working with senior executives and clients
2. Degree or Diploma in Project Management or Business Administration preferred
3. PMP (Project Management Professional) preferred
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook as well as cloud-based scheduling applications is required
5. Working knowledge of Smartsheet and Visio is preferred
6. Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively manage expectations
7. Self-motivated and self-directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
8. Demonstrated ability to present ideas in a clear, user-friendly format
9. Strong organizational skills with the proven ability to manage competing priorities
10. Ability to effectively transfer knowledge
11. Ability to absorb and retain information quickly in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
12. Easily adapt and respond appropriately to changes, delays, or unexpected events in the work environment
13. Ability to work under pressure to meet project deadlines
