Responsibilities

The Permanent Controls and Governance team within the Enterprise Risk Management group is responsible for:

  1. Development, update, discussion and socialization of various enterprise risk management governance policies and documents, such as the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, ensuring their alignment with applicable regulations and SG Group documents.
  2. Oversight and management of SG AMER’s Issue Management framework, ensuring proper identification of risk, reporting and governance.
  3. Business analysis and project management on development of new dimensions and functionalities in the GRC system, such as Risk Events management, and connections between the various dimensions of the conceptual data model to produce innovative studies and reporting.
  4. Coordination of permanent control framework (control execution supervision, result reporting and analysis).
  5. Support of transversal topics such as Regulatory Exams, change-the-bank activities, systems design, and presentations of SGUS risk profile to Senior Management both in the US and at Head Office level.
  6. Improvement of efficiency of transversal risk management processes and risk monitoring and enhancement of the development and usage of risk analytics through automation and digitalization.
  7. Assist with the development and enhancements to transversal risk management frameworks.
  8. Produce business requirements (following grooming session with Stakeholders, and gathering of their needs).
  9. Develop and maintain PowerBI dashboards used for reporting to senior management.
  10. Test IT developments.
  11. Assist with the production and automation of risk metrics.
  12. Ensure data quality and reconciliation / consistency with the database and GRC Platform.
  13. Provide training and support to end users, perform data quality checks and monitor sustainability.
  14. Assist with various day-to-day tasks for the governance team.
  15. Assist with senior management reporting and materials for committees (provide data, perform analysis, consistency checks etc.).

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply for a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:

  1. Graduate with a Master’s degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Data science.
  2. A previous experience in financial institution would be appreciated.

Language skills:

  1. Fluent in English (B2-C1).

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

  1. Proficient/Good command of MS Office.
  2. Good communication and presentation skills.

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Canada is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 24 months.

In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.
