About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic team on-site immediately. This role will support and drive innovative projects, with a strong focus on natural language processing (NLP) and end-to-end machine learning solutions. This is a full-time on-site position at our 225 Yorkland Boulevard, Toronto Office, Monday to Friday.

Founded in 1980, Total Credit Recovery (TCR) is Canada’s leading and largest Canadian-owned debt collection agency, and as such we represent some of the largest banks, credit card providers, cell phone providers, and government institutions. Our mission is to be the model of integrity, innovation, and service delivery excellence in the Canadian receivables management industry. Currently, we employ over 350 employees in 4 offices across Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design & Development: Build, test, and deploy machine learning models with an emphasis on NLP applications.
2. Data Analysis & Insight Generation: Develop solutions to extract trends from call data to identify training needs and optimize communication strategies.
3. Full-Stack & Cloud Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ML models into our tech stack; experience with Azure and/or AWS is a plus.
4. Independent Problem Solving: Tackle challenges head-on and develop creative, robust solutions.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field.
2. Proven experience in machine learning, with a strong foundation in algorithms and statistical modeling.
3. Hands-on experience with NLP projects and relevant tools/frameworks.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Preferred/Bonus Skills:

1. Experience with full-stack development.
2. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
3. A track record of developing and deploying end-to-end machine learning solutions.

Pay: $80,000.00-$110,000.00 per year

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate: North York, ON M2J 4Y7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
