Our client is seeking a Senior Pay and Compare ECP Module Functional Co-Lead (10+ years) to support an ERP transformation project for a municipal client (Remote).

Responsibilities

  1. Support the integrated testing process (developing and maintaining test scripts and scenarios) to discover and mitigate errors and issues impacting pay
  2. Provide business payroll expertise and strong leadership to ensure payroll accuracy on go-live
  3. Develop a deep understanding of the payroll and related human resources processes across the organization and the interconnectedness of these processes with the existing systems
  4. Collaborate with the Open City and Technology Branch and the Enterprise Commons Centre of Excellence to ensure that the payroll solution is supportable and integrates corporately
  5. Coordinate with working groups for the payroll function system implementation for design configuration and implementation
  6. Perform project management activities for the payroll compare function of the project
  7. Support the City’s payroll team post-go-live on issues and challenges
  8. Support the identification of known differences
  9. Support the successful implementation of the Payroll Compare plan
  10. Guide the project team on the successful use of the payroll compare tool
  11. Co-lead the successful execution of pay compare
  12. Support the exploration of discrepancies between legacy system and new system
  13. Intricate knowledge of the ECP Configuration (how it works with EC and WFS)
  14. Strong facilitation and presentation skills to develop and deliver engaging workshops with complex and detailed payroll subject matter
  15. Proven problem-solving, analytical, and root cause identification skills, able to use data to present challenges and solutions and opportunities to leadership
  16. Project management knowledge
  17. The ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  18. Ability to work in ambiguous situations
  19. Demonstrated ability to facilitate multiple groups, projects, and situations
  20. Demonstrated ability to critically analyze issues to make decisions, recommend viable and effective solutions and summarize and manage information
  21. Ability to interpret business requirements/issues and provide go-forward recommendations

Must Have

  1. 10+ years as an SAP Functional Consultant
  2. SAP Pay and Compare ECP Module
  3. Experience and/or accreditation related to Payroll management and processing for large, unionized environment
  4. Payroll system configuration; building and delivering payroll process/service delivery design
  5. Strong understanding or accreditation in Project Management and Canadian Payroll Processing Methodology
  6. Deep understanding of HR business functions and processes as they relate to payroll
  7. Certificate or Degree in a related field

Nice to Have

  1. Strong understanding of SAP payroll an asset
  2. IT system integration experience an asset
  3. Experience with and knowledge of key integration points between SAP SuccessFactors modules an asset
