Job Description

Our client requires an Application Test Analyst to:

Prepare test plans and test schedules, facilitate meetings, train and manage testing resources;
Review, evaluate and provide test input during business requirements and design specifications gathering sessions;
Identify and communicate testing issues, implement process improvement and issue resolution;
Prepare, review and present test plans and test summary reports;
Prepare test data, write test cases, execute application testing, identify and manage issues, write test results summaries and maintain test artifacts.

Qualifications

Requirements

University degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related discipline
Experience assisting in the planning, preparation and execution of application testing
Experience assisting in preparing for meetings, preparing test schedules and test activities
Experience assisting in reviewing, evaluating and providing test input during business requirements and detailed design specifications
Experience assisting in identifying testing issues, and implementing improved processes and resolutions
Experience in a leadership role in requirements 1, 2, 3 and 4 above (i.e.: Team Lead type role).
Experience mentoring testing resources and facilitating training sessions
Experience writing test cases, preparing test data, executing tests and verifying results and logging issues
Experience with test tools including automation, requirements management test management and defect management tools
Experience preparing and reviewing test plans and test summary reports
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
Experience with various database and messaging tools for verifying test results such as SQL, Toad, XMLSpy

Desirables

Demonstrated experience with smoke testing, unit testing, system testing, integration testing, regression testing and user acceptance testing.
Demonstrated experience testing in both web and mobile environments.
Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server.
Experience using automated test tools, with preference given to Coded UI through Visual Studio Enterprise.
Experience working with Business & technical representatives to analyze issues reported by (or in) production.
Experience with Agile methodology.
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, problem solve/troubleshoot, work independently and in a team environment.
Experience with user acceptance testing including creation of user acceptance plan, status reporting, and managing assigned tasks
