Architectural Technologist

ICKE BROCHU Architects Inc. is located at Portland and Wellington Street West in downtown Toronto. The firms’ portfolio focuses on single, multi-family and seniors residential developments within the Greater Toronto area.

We are seeking an Architectural Technologist with a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience. Candidates should have knowledge of Building Systems, the Ontario Building Code and Contract Administration. The applicant must also have the ability to develop and coordinate contract documents and the capacity to work both independently and the knowledge to manage a team with minimal supervision. We are looking for an individual with broad skills working with wood and concrete structural systems and experience in the residential discipline. Additional field experience and contract administration would be an asset.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architectural technology
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2025
• Strong Knowledge of the OBC, specifically Parts 3 and 9
• Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel

Duties/Responsibilities

• Ability to manage multiple projects and direct junior members of the team
• Advance design development drawings into contract document submissions
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Coordinate architectural and consultants drawings
• Identify and solve technical design issues as required
• Review shop drawings as required
• Contract administration and field reviews as required
• Effective team working capability
• Ability to work well in a team environment

Salary range: $60 000.00 - $75,000.00 / annually. Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
