Pay: $18.60 an hour

Job Type: Full-time

Shift and Schedule: Weekends as needed, Holidays

As a Laundry Porter, your care and attention to detail in your Laundry operation will ensure exceptional standards for our hotel lines - you will take pride in the role you play facilitating a memorable guest stay.

Responsibilities:

  1. Reporting to the Laundry Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
  2. Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  3. Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
  4. Pick up soiled linen from the resort
  5. Deliver JPL linens, staff uniforms and town contracts linen at scheduled times
  6. Assist the Washperson and Laundry Attendants as required
  7. Assess and communicate the PAR requirements to maintain adequate inventory level
  8. Provide and deliver other departments with clean linen
  9. Report necessary maintenance items
  10. Monitor and complete ticketing requests in a timely and efficient manner
  11. Ensure the completion of task checklist by the end of each shift
  12. Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the vehicle fleet, ensuring both interior and exterior are regularly cleaned and well-maintained
  13. Adhere to all LQA standards set for the department
  14. Consistently uphold a professional and well-groomed appearance in accordance with the company’s established grooming policy
  15. Must be flexible in regards to work schedules (weekends and holidays as required)
  16. Adhere to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles
  17. Following all safety and sanitation policies
  18. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  1. Valid Alberta driver’s license and clean abstract required
  2. Previous experience driving large trucks required
  3. Previous housekeeping or laundry experience required
  4. Excellent communication and organizational skills
  5. Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  6. Highly responsible & reliable
  7. Comfortable driving trucks
  8. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  9. Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
  10. Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Your team and working environment:

  1. Walking: 6-8 hrs/day
  2. Standing: 6-8hr/day
  3. Bending/Reaching: 6-8 hrs/day
  4. Pushing/Pulling: 6-8hrs/day
  5. Visual: moderate
  6. Physical Effort: Required to lift up to 50-80 lbs
  7. Environmental Stress: high-works in hot/cold conditions, high noise level, work with hazardous machinery, constantly going in and out of buildings
