We are currently seeking a motivated individual for the position of Machine Operator within our Winnipeg, MB location. This is a full-time, permanent position that reports directly to the Operations Manager.

Please note - our work environment is safety sensitive and will require the successful applicant to undergo pre-employment testing.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe procedures are followed while performing job responsibilities
  • Comply with workplace policies and procedures (operational and health and safety)
  • Program, set up, and operate leveler while following safe work procedures and practices
  • Form products within established tolerances and to customer specifications
  • Complete in-process quality checks to ensure accuracy is within shop tolerance
  • Maintain an organized inventory and perform inventory counts as required
  • Handle heavy material using overhead cranes, forklifts or other material handling equipment in a safe and responsible manner while loading/unloading the machine
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance checks and report any unsafe processes or equipment
  • Work with the Scheduling Department to ensure that daily production and on time requirements are met
  • Any other tasks that may be assigned by management
Education And Skills Required

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • May be required to work rotating shifts
  • Ability to read, write and understand English
  • Ability to operate the overhead cranes and forklift is an asset
  • Ability to perform setup machines in order to manufacture parts within the established tolerances of our customer order requirements
  • Proficient in performing mathematical calculations with ability to read a tape measure and calipers
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented
Shift Hours: Rotating shifts
Starting Hourly Rate: $27.97
Wage Progression: $32.84
