POSITION SUMMARY
As a member of the Professional Services team, you will help to define, manage, and deliver innovative and inspiring solutions for a range of organizations including many of North America’s top companies. Working with us as a Lead Technology Business Analyst means you’ll:
- Manage and define the reactive and proactive processes and activities required to design, implement, maintain, and improve technology solutions.
- Have experience in defining Functional Specs and understanding relationship diagrams associated with one of the following functional areas: Risk, Capital Markets, and Retail Banking.
- Oversee the work package deliverable in a Program and ensure alignment with the Program Manager.
- Understand business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements, and recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.
- Ensure business objectives are identified, understood, and accounted for in the development of technology solutions. Confirm the technology solution meets the business needs.
- Initiate and lead Service Projects; manage business-as-usual and ad hoc activities to improve service and/or reduce cost.
- Work with Professional Services and Sales team in the translation of requirements into test cases and ensure application architecture and systems functionality meet business requirements.
- Monitor and track budget changes.
- Work with various areas throughout the organization, determining needs for new functionality for custom solutions.
- Work with others to research, evaluate, and document business/user/functional requirements, as well as manage the design, testing, and implementation of technological solutions that enhance the value of the company's products and business systems.
- Utilize various elicitation and modeling techniques to identify, interpret, and define specific business requirements.
- Coordinate analysis and alignment of stakeholders' requirement needs and facilitate requirements prioritization.
- Influence stakeholders that cross multiple functionalities for process development, implementation, and support.
- Drive creation of process requirements, functional requirements, and validation of solutions.
- Manage testing and process rollouts for complex or multiple consulting opportunities.
- Provide highest-level technical leadership and subject matter expertise in one or more technologies.
- Manage and allocate resources to multiple projects, dealing with issues and escalating as appropriate.
- Ensure use of requirements traceability principles and change control processes in execution of daily responsibilities.
- Interact with stakeholders (possibly international), team members, and management within or across organizations for the purpose of communication, collaboration, and influencing.
- Design and implement process & tool improvements ensuring documented requirements meet quality standards.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor's Degree required, Master's preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years total work experience with at least 2 years as a business analyst.
- Excellent analytical, conceptual and data interpretation skills.
- Excellent personal engagement skills (written and oral).
- Demonstrated technical and business acumen.
- Expert in one or more process management tools such as: Visio, MS Project.
- Ability to work with subject matter experts to produce process diagrams and workflows.
- Ability to analyze existing processes and recommend improvements, including designing and developing new processes.
- Ability to develop solid business case analysis.
- Strong planning, time management, and organizational skills.
- Intermediate in MS Office tools.
- Excellent conceptual and analytic skills.
- Effective communicator at all levels, excellent inter-personal skills, strong business focus.
- Oracle or other relational database experience.
- Data capture, curation, and reporting experience.
- Data modeling and analysis.
- Design and development of end-to-end technical solutions.
