Industrial Mechanic

Manpower is now recruiting for an Industrial Mechanic for our client in Stayner, ON, to fulfill a 9-month contract, with an excellent opportunity of leading to permanent.

As a critical component to the facilities team, you will be responsible for maintenance and basic repairs for manufacturing buildings and automated machinery, as well as various general maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate must be highly motivated, energetic and able to work as part of a team and at a fast pace.

Duties

1. Carry out day-to-day maintenance and repairs
2. Preventative maintenance of building mechanical/electrical equipment, building automation, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems
3. Perform repairs and/or replace defective parts using hand tools and power tools and reassemble equipment
4. Install, maintain and repair automated manufacturing equipment
5. Promote GMP compliance
6. Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

1. Able to pass a Criminal background Check
2. 3-10 years practical experience
3. Millwright license would be an asset
4. Electrical license would be an asset
5. PLC knowledge/programming would be an asset
6. Forklift license would be an asset
7. Previous health and safety and/or first aid training is an asset
8. Verbal communication skills, and experience working in a team
9. Valid driver's license
