Cost Analyst

Habit Burger & Grill is looking for a financial planning and analysis professional who is detail-oriented, organized, highly technical, and agile to manage a wide range of reporting and analysis duties, supporting the team in making informed decisions. The primary focus of the Financial Analyst is to assist in the internal financial reporting of business results as well as provide timely, insightful, and actionable analysis of various business initiatives.

The ideal candidate for this position is a creative, resourceful, self-starter who is detail-oriented, has excellent communication skills, the ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams, and strong process management skills. This role reports to the Manager, FP&A.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Contribute to the monthly / quarterly / annual reporting and analysis of ongoing business results and industry performance trends.
2. Provide actionable analysis of the financial performance of key business metrics and new business initiatives to enable cross-functional teams to make decisions on various elements of the business and help drive continued improvement and optimization of the financial performance of the company.
3. Conduct variance analysis of business performance vs. plan / forecast and provide commentary explaining variances.
4. Ad hoc analysis as required.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting required.
2. 2 years of applicable finance experience with financial modeling skills or similar preferred.
3. Professional finance background in the restaurant or multi-unit retail environment preferred.
4. Proficient computer skills working with Excel, Power Point and Word (MS Office Suite).
5. Experience working with JDE, HFM, Reports Now and Oracle highly desirable.
6. Ability to interact and support all other departments in the company by providing meaningful financial reporting and analytical support.
7. Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently from inception through completion within specified timelines.

COMPENSATION

Salary Range : $77,700 to $91,300 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors.
