Position Overview

Foundation Building Materials (FBM) is currently seeking a hands-on, high-energy Warehouser and Inside Sales team member.

Warehousers are a skilled group of individuals who masterfully organize work, manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, and develop employees. Inside Sales Professionals are a talented group of individuals that can discover sales opportunities on a consultative basis and able to turn leads into new customers. The Inside Sales Professional will play a key role in expanding our sales activities to support our fast-growing business.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide service to customers entering the warehouse.
  2. Receive, organize, and move incoming materials and load outgoing materials.
  3. Allocate and move material to its correct place and ensure an orderly warehouse at all times.
  4. Maintain packing specifications, and make suitable skids/pallets, etc.
  5. Operate forklift and other company vehicles and equipment as trained and instructed.
  6. Professional and courteous ongoing contact with customers before, during and after a sale.
  7. Code and input customer orders, pricing information and additional data into the computer system.
  8. Provide excellent customer support through knowledge of our products and their applications.
  9. Continuously improve and maintain in-depth product knowledge.
  10. Coordinate deliveries with Operations staff.
  11. Assist walk-in customers.
  12. Handle and resolve customer issues.
  13. Assist Outside Sales Representatives as needed.
  14. Maintain effective communication with customers, management, and Outside Sales Representatives.
  15. Focus on securing the profitable sales opportunity with each customer through excellent selling, service and problem-solving.
  16. Effective at up selling and cross selling.
  17. Coordinate purchase and delivery of special products.
  18. Maintain stock levels on the sales floor and in the stockroom.
  19. Operate and balance cash register daily.
  20. As needed, initiate telephone calls to customers to generate sales.
  21. Respond swiftly and courteously to customer complaints or inquiries.
  22. When required, participate in monthly and/or annual physical inventories.
  23. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
