Job Details

The Warehouse & Operations Manager will be responsible for the overall management of warehouse operations, logistics, inventory management, and staff development. They will oversee warehouse staff, ensuring their growth, training, and performance reviews align with company standards. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the execution of weekly cycle counts and delivering monthly reports on inventory accuracy.

This position will work closely with the Senior Manager to enhance operational efficiency, improve order flow, and ensure that production and warehouse processes align with business needs. The ideal candidate will have experience with Odoo or other inventory scanning software to track and manage stock levels effectively. They will also support the procurement team in ensuring stock levels are adequately maintained to meet business demands.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations & Logistics

  1. Manage all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping orders.
  2. Ensure all inbound and outbound shipments are accurately processed and delivered on time.
  3. Maintain a clean, organized, and visually high-standard warehouse environment that supports efficient operations.
  4. Oversee the storage layout and optimize warehouse space to improve workflow and productivity.
  5. Implement health and safety protocols to ensure compliance with workplace regulations.
  6. Work with third-party logistics providers to coordinate transportation and deliveries.

Inventory Management & Accuracy

  1. Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking, ensuring optimal inventory availability.
  2. Utilize Odoo or other scanning inventory software to manage and track inventory in real time.
  3. Conduct weekly cycle counts on product categories and deliver a detailed monthly report on inventory accuracy.
  4. Implement inventory control measures to reduce waste, prevent loss, and improve tracking.
  5. Support the procurement team by ensuring stock levels are high and maintained to meet business demand.
  6. Work with purchasing and sales teams to forecast demand and stock requirements.

Production & Assembly Coordination

  1. Lead and coordinate the assembly team, ensuring tasks are strategically assigned to meet production targets.
  2. Develop efficient production schedules that align with demand and inventory needs.
  3. Ensure finished products are correctly stored, labeled, and prepared for distribution.
  4. Collaborate with the production team to improve workflow efficiency and minimize bottlenecks.
  5. Maintain quality control standards to ensure all assembled products meet company specifications.

Warehouse Staff Development & Performance Management

  1. Oversee warehouse staff members, ensuring their growth, development, and continuous training.
  2. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  3. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and high performance.
  4. Identify training needs and implement programs to enhance skill development.
  5. Ensure all staff members adhere to company policies and warehouse operational procedures.

Process Improvement & Collaboration

  1. Work closely with the Senior Manager to analyze and improve operational workflow.
  2. Identify process inefficiencies and implement best practices to enhance warehouse productivity.
  3. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve consistency and efficiency.
  4. Collaborate with other departments, including sales and customer service, to streamline order fulfillment and logistics.
  5. Stay up to date with warehouse management trends and implement new technologies where beneficial.

Qualifications & Experience

  1. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in warehouse and operations management, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing setting.
  2. Hands-on experience with Odoo or other inventory management software.
