Senior Buyer

As the Senior Buyer you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our procurement processes. You will be responsible for sourcing our indirect requests at competitive prices, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services. Your expertise in negotiation, market analysis, and strategic sourcing will be essential in supporting our internal business partners.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment of objectives.
• Negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to optimize cost efficiency while ensuring quality standards are met.
• Regularly reviewing and updating contracts to reflect evolving business needs and regulatory requirements.
• Assisting with Indirect spend for goods and services for departments such as Marketing, Facilities, HR, etc., and other related purchasing support activities.
• Developing and managing the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process to ensure competitive pricing and optimal supplier selection.
• Evaluating and analyzing RFQ responses to make informed sourcing decisions.
• Developing and executing purchasing strategies that align with company goals and operational needs.
• Analyzing market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Performing other duties as required.

About you:

• Experience in developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
• Proven negotiation skills with contracts, pricing, and terms.
• Ability to regularly review and update contracts.
• Experience with Indirect spend for various departments.
• Familiarity with the RFQ process.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate RFQ responses.
• Strategic mindset to align purchasing strategies with company goals.
• Awareness of market trends and supplier performance.
• Flexibility to perform other duties as required.

The anticipated base pay rate for this position is CAD $94,000 - 105,000.
