A Manitoba Teacher's Certificate or eligibility for teacher certification in the Province of Manitoba.
Resource Teacher Certificate or willingness to work towards such certification.
Experience preparing Student Specific Plans and related documents will be considered an asset.
Experience doing extensive assessments to help design student programming.
Experience supporting students that have additional needs, alternative programming and an understanding of programming criteria will be considered an asset.
Familiarity with Standards for Appropriate Educational Programming in Manitoba.
A working knowledge of diverse abilities, including strengths, challenges and possible strategies to use with students that have a range of diagnoses.
Ability to design, implement and evaluate instructional programs that enhance personal development and increase the general quality of life.
Knowledge of K-12 Manitoba Curriculum and cross-curricular planning.
Ability to work well with teachers/educational assistants in a collaborative and consultative environment.
Strong leadership abilities; demonstrated professional commitment and above average interpersonal skills.
Ability to work cooperatively as part of an educational team.
Excellent classroom management skills.

Demonstrated ability and experience in the differentiation of instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
