Community Support Worker

Coastal Support Services Ltd. is looking for a Community Support Worker.

Nanaimo

30 - 35 hours per week

Position Summary

1. Provide direct community supports to individuals in community/in their own home.
2. Assist with appointments, banking, IADL's, community inclusion.
3. Contribute to individual’s quality of life.
4. Make meaningful community connections.
5. Maintain detailed progress notes after each shift and report to the Team Lead.

Education & Experience

1. Community Support Worker Diploma or equivalent education in a related field is preferred.
2. Working with individuals with diversabilities and acquired brain injuries or equivalent experience is preferred.
3. Experience with setting personal boundaries.
4. Driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract will be required prior to start date.
5. Ability to obtain a Criminal record check for working with vulnerable adults will be required prior to start date.
6. FoodSafe Level 1 is an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $24.50 - 25.00 per hour
