Contract Accounting Clerk in High River, AB - Urgent Hire Needed ASAP!
Agilus is recruiting for an Accounting Clerk in the Govt. Sector in High River, Alberta. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for reconciliations, handling T4s, managing pensions, and assisting with payroll.
A typical day:
Handle T4s in the new system
Manage pensions and reconciliations
Prepare for the audit coming up in March
Assist with year-end payroll processes
Utilize Excel spreadsheets to compute figures and perform reconciliations, verifications, and audits
Perform general accounting duties including journal entries, reconciliations, cash receipts, banking, and direct debits/credits
Successful candidates will have:
3-5 years of relevant accounting experience
Advanced Excel experience, including formulas, pivot tables, and vlookups
Familiarity with T4s and reconciliations is essential
Strong accounting skills are required, with a greater emphasis on accounting tasks over payroll duties
Experience with Dayforce and HRIS systems is nice-to-have
Exhibit exceptional attention to detail
Demonstrate a high level of maturity and focus
Total rewards:
$31.00 - $36.00 hourly
Competitive pay is negotiable and depends on qualification and experience
The start date is ASAP, and the end date is the end of February, with potential for extension
For the first few weeks, the role will be full-time in-office from 8am to 4:30pm, then it will switch to a hybrid model with up to 2 days working from home
