What Will Make You a Great Fit

  • Previous experience of at least two to three years is considered an asset
  • Completed Grade 12 education
  • Clean Driver's abstract required
  • Able to use basic power tools and complete basic building maintenance
  • Basic command of the English language (written and verbal)
  • Exceptional skills in communications, organizational, interpersonal and time management
  • Plumbing knowledge would be considered an asset
  • Proven experience in exercising good judgement under pressure
  • Physically fit, able to stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time and lift in excess of 25 kilograms
  • Carpentry/Construction skills considered an asset
  • Strong customer care and communication skill
  • Holding or working towards a 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate
What will your role involve?

As a Maintenance Technician, Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include

  • Perform general maintenance tasks that may include: millwork (countertops), minor plumbing, repair/install doors, install windows, interior painting, drywall repairs and other similar duties.
  • Knowledge of using various power tools, painting, drywall repairs an asset
  • Assist with building operations functions as required
  • Perform rough and finished carpentry work in the repair and construction of building components
  • Fit and install trim, doors, moulding and hardware
  • Repair and refinish furniture
  • Perform finished carpentry for cabinets and other items
  • Operate a variety of standard power tools and equipment
  • Respond immediately to emergencies
  • Assist with landscaping responsibilities
  • Respond immediately to service requests and emergencies that address client and building related issues
  • Perform exterior maintenance and repairs, including tasks outdoors in inclement weather conditions, as needed.
