Job description

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

Tasks:

  1. Monitor staff performance
  2. Plan and organize daily operations
  3. Train staff
  4. Organize and maintain inventory
  5. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  6. Address customers' complaints or concerns
  7. Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages

Support for newcomers and refugees:

  1. Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees
  2. Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: housing, transportation, storage, childcare, winter clothing, etc.)
  3. Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: facilitating access to community resources, language training, skills training, etc.)
  4. Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster (for example: Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.)
  5. Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition

Support for youths:

  1. Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment
  2. Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth
  3. Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth
  4. Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people
  5. Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers
  6. Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers
