Job Description

The Role:

Medcan is looking for a Maintenance Attendant to join our Facilities team. The role is primarily responsible for routine and preventive maintenance of the premises.

The Accountabilities:

1. Perform day-to-day general routine maintenance and preventative maintenance within the clinic.
2. General maintenance to include basic repairs, carpentry, paint, drywall, and plumbing.
3. Complete general project work as assigned by the manager.
4. Assist in the implementation of the energy conservation program.
5. Maintain all clinic areas and ensure the clinic is in good working condition.
6. Coordinate with other staff to ensure exceptional delivery of service to clients as needed.

The Requirements:

1. Ideally a degree or diploma in a related engineering discipline.
2. Minimum five years’ experience in a similar role within the hospitality/medical industry is preferred.
3. Strong background in plumbing is an asset.
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
5. Demonstrated ability to interact with clients, co-workers, and third-party vendors.
6. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including primarily evenings and weekends.
7. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and work independently.
8. Ability to lift or safely move objects up to 75lbs.

This role is primarily scheduled from Monday to Friday with occasional weekends required as needed.
