Agilus is recruiting for a Senior Business Analyst in the IT Industry (Financial Services) in Burnaby, British Columbia. We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to become a part of a leading investment Banking industry player with 14,000 employees globally, during an exciting transformation phase. This role in financial services collaborates with stakeholders to identify business needs, analyze data and processes to improve operational efficiency.

A typical day:

  1. Determine and gather key business requirements by soliciting input from stakeholders and subject matter experts.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional business teams and stakeholders to identify business challenges and primary objectives for new initiatives.
  3. Create clearly written BRD to facilitate accurate requirement gathering for several projects.
  4. Conduct a thorough evaluation of software solutions to ensure adherence to business needs, infrastructure integration and security protocols.
  5. Execute a business process assessment to identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
  6. Create business requirements documentation and facilitate review of walk-through outcomes leading to approved requirements compliance.
  7. Administer issue resolution by directing error reporting and testing procedures.
  8. Develop and maintain a requirements management plan across project phases to ensure business area contentment.

Successful candidates will have:

  1. Equipped with a University degree in one or more technology or business objectives. CBAP certification would be an asset.
  2. Seven years of experience in technology/business with a minimum of five years as a successful business analyst supporting multiple systems.
  3. 5+ years of experience in financial services sector and experience in requirements gathering for the design and implementation of IT systems would be considered an asset.
  4. Direct experience with fintech technologies.
  5. Demonstrated expertise in project transformation.
  6. Exceptional SVP level stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
  7. Esteemed leader in change management and innovation.
  8. Proficient in traditional Waterfall project management; Agile methodology would be an asset.

Soft skills:

  1. Collaboration skill to work cross-functionally within an organization to achieve common goals.
  2. Proven track record of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  3. Demonstrated expertise in analytical problem-solving with strong attention to detail.
  4. Strong interviewing, facilitation and presentation techniques.
  5. Effective written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively to a broad range of audiences.
  6. Demonstrates exceptional learning agility, quickly adapting to new processes and systems while ensuring timely delivery and quality control.

Total rewards:

  1. $80.00 hourly.
  2. The 12-month contract may be renewed for an additional 12 months.
  3. You are required to be 1-3 days in office to facilitate team collaboration.
  4. Location: Burnaby, British Columbia.
